People, most of us here are just afraid that they will get red dots, be ridiculed for their beliefs. But the things is; If we don't fight for our rights, who will. We have to defend our place in the queue, which at the moment is at substantial risk.

Is a h1b holder a nonresident alien or a resident alien ? It says on IRS site that you dont get stimulus if you are a nonresident alien.
An H1B holder is a resident for tax puposes as long as you meet the substantial presence test. This is evident from the fact that when you file taxes, you file 1040 or 1040EZ. Not 1040NR. When I was a student, I filed 1040NREZ. After graduation, I am required to file 1040.

Obviously if a guy with PD 2002 or 2003 does not apply there is no way he can get the AOS approved.
But do you mean a guy with PD '2007 May' applies now and a guy with PD '2000 March' (for some unkown reason) applies in 'Oct 2007'. Assuming that the PD cut off date retrogressed to '2000 March' then the guy with '2007 May' PD but with RD '2007 July' would be in a better shape than a guy with '2000 March' PD but with RD '2007 Oct'.
You guys are mistaken one thing. No matter what PD has to be current at the time of I-485 processing. But if both applicant have PD current than RD comes into play. Other than that RD does not play any role at all.

Please don't think as if the IV guys walk in and talk and there you go.... the change is in effect.
It takes a lot to get the fixes like these.
Moreover , do not donate with the "IF" condition. Just donate and trust IV , everyone is working as hard ,to get the relief in any way possible for the guys in the line.
SO JUST DON'T WAIT AND START DONATING.

actually people are already complacent ..eb2 is in joy and waiting impatiently, eb3 people have given up hope and there is not much news from core. people may not like my post but that is the fact

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.

I am out of state visa screened nurse after having a hard time passing the cgfns and other reqirment my sponser has filed me I-140 on 31th april 2007, I dont know why but they didnt give me the center name in which they file the petition, or recipt no., my questions are:
how long will it take to recieve the GC?
do you think the condition will improve for RNs in the future?

filed LC in 2003 thinking it would be useful to stay on H1 as long as possible!! and the rest is on my profile..
I wonder if anybody thinks it makes sense to create a law which simply says after 15 (or some X years) of legal presence in the US you will be given a GC no matter the back ground! In that way we know exactly where the deadline is irrespective of some government agency's whim.
