Very recently our company advertised for a position, this was for one of my co workers from China, company received over 200 resumes, I heard that the new rule is to reply to all the resumes and tell them why they dont qualify etc..

If we could add some good things for legal immigrants (EB), and the bill gets passed in senate... what are the chances of getting it passed in house and reaching president's table. The reason for this concern is that same thing happened in Dec 05, when at the last moment all immigration stuff was reformed from budget recon. bill. I am sure IV must be thinking about this as well and would like to get IV team's views on this. Also wanted to thank IV team for taking so many efforts.

Any I-485 approvals from Nebraska.. for EB3-I in the month of Jan..
My finger printing was done in Sep-2007 .....took an Infopass and opened a SR .The IO officer @ infopass said that the finger printing has to be initiated from Nabraska...any body on the same boat

I posted this in the Non-immigrant visa section, but I'd also like to get a professional opinion. Sorry for the double post.
I have a rather simple question to ask. I came to the US on a J2 visa with my wife who entered a Ph.D. program. Last year I was accepted into the same program, starting this fall. I didn't change my J2 to J1 because I was waiting for a TAship job offer that would grant me a fee waiver.
Now we're back in the States and there is an on-campus job opportunity that would grant me a fee waiver. I am considering either a) staying on J2 but getting a work permit or b) changing my status to J1.
What I'd like to know is, can I sign a contract with an on-campus employer and start working while my J1 change is being processed? It doesn't really matter much if this means that my paychecks will be delayed; like I said, I would welcome the opportunity to get the fee waiver.

I researched and found a memo from Terrance Way, Director INS issued a memo on this on December 22, 2000 and is available on AILA Infonet
AILA InfoNet at Doc. No. 01040603
I couldnt locate this memo in USCIS policy guidance memoranda search.
Can some one with access to AILA Infonet, please send me this document

Hey vibedesign,
Create and animate the text that you wish to have "wireframed" in Swift 3D. When exporting the SWF, make sure you select the No Fill option. Consequently, make sure you select the Outline option with Entire Mesh or another setting selected! That should export your animation without the fill but with the outlines instead. That will look like a wireframe text effect!

Trying to help Mother-In-Law over from China for visit. Unsuccessful w/ tourist Visa process, so now going for Green Card. Received Notice of Decision against me, unable to establish my Petitioner wife is daughter of Beneficiary Mother-In-Law. No hospital records. Previous evidence was "Notarial Certificate of Relationship." I have just received new evidence "Notarial Certificate of Birth" from civil authorities - along with affidavit from school teacher - I need to file EOIR-29, I think to call it APPEAL, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, MOTION TO RECONSIDER - can anyone provide a "go-by" as to what format my letter should take? Is letter format acceptable or is formal pleading format needed?
Time is of the essence, I have to file within 24 hours or give up and pursue DNA testing....

Hi,
My I-140 was approved from Nebraska service center, but my attorney sent my I-485 case to Texas. I came across few people here on IV who have experienced the same.
Did USCIS provide any information regarding this? If so could you provide the link?

Guys,
As most of you know we formed a focus group to work on the 'Country Cap issue'.
We have a letter ready to be sent out the the lawmakers to lift the Cap - may be temporarily- I would request you guys to spend 5 minutes and 42 cents and send it out to your senators and congressmen/Congresswomen�.If 50 people from California can send this letter to 'Congresswoman Zoe Logfren', I'm sure it will some some difference...

I am not fully aware of all the benefits of having EAD after filing 485. If you have the knowledge about it could you please list down it in this thread.

as of now it lets the spouse to start working.. & then the not too fancy AC21 portability.. Advanced Parole for trvael outside the US etc..
in terms of GC its just another waiting phase..

My priority date is August 2004 EB-3-India.
In USCIS Website, my 485 case status and Ead status got updated dated september 4 2010.
What does this mean by anyway with respect to mygreencard process.Plz help.
